PRODUCT HISTORIES

L’EQUIP

The L’EQUIP Company was founded August 19, 1999 in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania by Jamie Pascotti, formerly of Omega Juicers. L’EQUIP was dedicated to health and well-being. With many years of experience in the industry, the company was founded with a mission to create products that functioned well, looked good, and had true advantages over other appliances. L’EQUIP’s first product was a pulp ejector juicer invented by Pascotti that operated at the lower RPM’s than any pulp ejection-type juicer in the market. L’EQUIP quickly became well known for its top selling health related electric juicers, dehydrators and the award-winning RPM blender.

In 2007 Kitchen Resource, LLC reached an agreement with L’EQUIP Inc. for the transfer of all brand rights for all their products. Kitchen Resource, LLC, doing business as L’EQUIP continued to enhanced sales growth and brand recognition. L’EQUIP’s product line continue to expand, continue to improve in quality and innovation, and continues to focus on appliances and products that promoted “life in healthy balance.”

L’EQUIP’s business model is focused on being environmentally friendly and preserving health for future generations. In March of 2008 our “Help Us Plant a Forest” campaign was launched in an effort to maintain a healthy balance both nutritionally and environmentally. L’EQUIP continues to donate one tree to the Arbor Day Foundation for every qualifying L’EQUIP product sold. Our commitment to your health, your family, and our planet continues today. After all—we’re L’EQUIP.

BOSCH

The Robert Bosch name has always been closely associated with the automobile. But today, Bosch is a worldwide company with 180 facilities including 140 factories in 128 countries. Bosch is also a partner in 42 joint ventures with interests in a wide range of products including communication, thermo technology, automation technology (robots), and household equipment.

Robert Bosch, the German industrialist, was born on September 23, 1861 in Albeck, Germany. In 1884 he sailed to America to work with Edison and Bergmann. In 1886 when he was 25 years old, Bosch opened his “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering” in Stuttgart. In 1906 Bosch established the first U.S. subsidiary and established sales offices in Chicago. In 1909 Bosch built a factory in Springfield, MA to produce magnetos. In 1920 A Bosch plant with 107,600 sq. ft. was opened in Springfield, MA. Robert Bosch died in 1942. In 1953 the Robert Bosch Corporation was formed, and in 1966 headquarters were moved to Chicago.

From the very beginning, Robert Bosch was greatly concerned with promoting occupational opportunities and furthering workplace training. Prompted by his keen awareness of the entrepreneur’s social responsibility, he was one of the first industrialists in Germany to introduce the eight-hour workday. It was followed by exemplary social benefits for his associates. He did not want to make any money on the armament contracts forced upon his company in the First World War. Instead, he donated several million German marks to charitable causes.

The Robert Bosch foundation was founded in 1964, and is headquartered in Stuttgart. The foundation’s basic mission is to “relieve human need and to improve the bodily health and the moral and spiritual standing of the people.” This assignment as defined by the founder still applies and provides for a wide range of activities in the interests of charity. The Foundation is the embodiment of the endeavors in the field of public benefit of Robert Bosch the company’s founder. 92% of the capital stock of Robert Bosch GmbH is owned by the foundation, and the funds it receives on a pro rata basis from the company’s profits are donated directly without exception to charitable causes. By the end of 1995, total disbursements had reached around 640 million DM.

On July 25, 2006 the Robert Bosch Corporation was recognized for 100 years of commitment and leadership in the United States manufacturing industry. In the House of Representatives, they congratulated the Robert Bosch Corporation on its centennial anniversary in the United States.
